About the SPAR Women’s Challenge Maritzburg
The SPAR Women’s Challenge Maritzburg is more than just a race — it’s a celebration of strength, sisterhood, and thriving energy! Set against the beautiful backdrop of Alexandra Park, this event brings together women of all fitness levels, from elite athletes chasing gold to first-timers walking for fun (and a medal, of course!).
Since its launch, the Maritzburg leg has become a local favourite, known for its feel-good atmosphere, iconic T-shirts, and strong community support. With a 5km and 10km option, everyone’s invited to hit the road, celebrate health, and be part of something big.

Online Entry:
Online entries close: 11 August 2025
- Payment via Visa/Mastercard debit or credit card
- No emailed/faxed entries or cash accepted
- No refunds or substitutions
Entry Fees:
- 10km (Licensed): R180
- 10km (Non-Licensed): R180 + R55 temporary license
- 5km: R180
Bulk Entries (10 or more people):
- Close: Monday, 4 August 2025
- Must be done online via instructions from the Race Office
- Entries only processed once payment is received
- One person collects for the group
