- The race consists of a 5km Fun Run and 10km walk or run route which begins and ends at Marks Park Sports Club.
- Entries are limited to 12 000 participants.
- You can enter at a selected SPAR STORE or ONLINE. An admin fee will be applicable for online entries.
- Pre-entries close on 24 September 2025 at midnight or when sold out.
- Limited t-shirt sizes available.
- LOST OR FORGOTTEN NUMBERS WILL BE CHARGED FOR AT FULL PRICE. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
- When you enter you will receive your race number, a t-shirt and a copy of the My Jozi Race magazine. If you have entered ONLINE please bring your proof of payment to collect your race number, t-shirt and a copy of the My Jozi Race magazine at Marks Park Sports Club from Wednesday, 1 October until Saturday, 4 October 2025 from 10:00 – 18:00.
- DO NOT COLLECT FROM SPAR STORES IF YOU HAVE ENTERED ONLINE.
- Men are allowed to participate in the race but will not be eligible for any prizes. They will however receive a goodie bag.
- No GAS ‘braaiers’, GLASS, ALCOHOL, COOL DRINK CANS or TINS will be allowed inside Marks Park Sports Club (PLASTIC ONLY).
- No selling of any goods will be permitted on Race Day.
There will be food and beverages for sale on Race Day. - There will be refreshment points at regular intervals along the race route.
- Medals are handed out on Race Day once you have crossed the finish line.
- Goodie Bags are handed out on race day in clearly marked, designated areas, on the field, after the race.
- Medical support and tog bag facilities will be available.
- Provision will be made for disabled participants.

Please note: Both the 5km fun run and the 10km race will be a timed event.
Welcome to the SPAR Women’s Challenge! To ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all participants, please take note of the following important rules:
Eligibility & Participation
- The 10km Challenge is open to female runners aged 14 years and older.
- The 5km Fun Run is open to female participants aged 9 years and older.
- Men are not eligible for any prizes.
Race Conduct & Safety
- All traffic officers, marshals, medics, and race officials must be respected and their instructions followed at all times. If you are directed to stop by any of these officials, you must comply immediately.
- No seconding is permitted during the race.
- No iPods, AirPods, or other music devices are allowed.
- Prams must start at the back of the field to ensure safety for all.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Mechanically operated devices, blades, cycles, or wheelchairs may only participate with special permission from the organisers. Contact
- Participants must be medically fit and indemnify the organisers, CGA, and ASA from any claims arising from participation.
Race Timing & Prizes
- The cut-off time for both the 10km and 5km events is 120 minutes.
- Prize winners are determined and verified by the referees.
- Age category ID tags must be worn on the front and back by athletes competing for age category prizes. No tag = no prize eligibility.
- Proof of age must be presented upon request. Juniors must provide an original birth certificate or ID document.
- Athletes may qualify for both the open category and their entered age category.
Licensing & Club Requirements

- Registered athletes must belong to a club affiliated with ASA, wear club colours, and display two 2025 provincial licence numbers (front and back), along with the issued race number on the front.
- Non-club athletes must wear the temporary licence number on the back and the race number on the front (10km only).
- Athletes not wearing club colours in the 10km event may face disqualification.
- Athletes without a 2025 licence must purchase a temporary licence or risk disqualification.
Disputes & Discipline
- Objections must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes (before or after prize-giving) to the chief referee, accompanied by R500, refundable if the appeal is upheld.
- Athletes participating without purchasing a race entry will be disqualified, denied race benefits, and charged double the entry fee.
- Habitual offenders will be referred to a CGA disciplinary hearing.
International Athletes
- Must provide a clearance letter from their country of origin to the event organiser and chief referee before the race starts.
Entry Policy

- No refunds on entry fees under any circumstances.
Complementary Tog Facilities will be available. Our friendly staff will be there to assist for those who need to safely store their tog bags and personal belongings. Look out for the well-marked Tog Bag area on the field on Race Day.
Please do not leave valuables in your bag.
The Kidz Zone offers a free and secure space where children can enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities. From jumping castles and face painting to meeting playful characters, there’s plenty to keep them entertained. Please remember that parents are responsible for supervising their children during playtime.
A medical tent will be set up on the field on Race Day, with two qualified doctors and their staff. Emergency medical teams will be posted at the finish line as well as at the water points along the route. Ambulances will also be available at the stadium, on the 5km route and on the 10km route. Should you be injured in the course of the race, please report to the medical tent if possible or alert the nearest security or medical personnel.
You hereby warrant that: all information they you supplied is true and correct, you are in good health, are physically fit and trained to participate in and understand the risks associated with the event. You agree to abide by all the rules and conditions of the event and accept that you enter and participate at your own risk.
You accept and agree that The SPAR Group Limited, its directors, affiliates, stakeholders, sponsors, partners, employees, volunteers and/or any third party service providers assisting with the Event (Indemnified Parties) accept no responsibility or liability for any claim whatsoever arising from death, injury, loss and/or damage to person or property occasioned as a result of the your participation in the event.
You unconditionally and irrevocably indemnify and hold the Indemnified Parties harmless to the fullest extent possible in law, against all and any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), medical costs or other costs however arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) with your participation in the event.
